Today we were Quiet-Time-less, as we were out until late in the day. However, I had the box ready to go and ready to share with you all, but I will have to wait until next Thursday to report on how it was received by Miss Eden. For now, here is Thursday's Quiet Time Box ...
Theme: Life Skills
Contents:
- Cleaning skills: a microfibre cloth and a small spray bottle with diluted white vinegar, for dusting her room
- Gift wrapping skills: a small gift box, an assortment of fabric ribbons, some sheets of tissue paper and wrapping paper, a roll of masking tape, and some of those stick-on decorative bows
- Sewing skills: this is a biggie, deep breath, and ...
- Things to sew onto: two rectangles of plastic canvas, a bit of a scarf that I knitted when I was a child, some rubber mesh in an embroidery hoop, some squares of scrap fabric
- Things to sew with: embroidery floss, scrap wool, decorative trim (sequins, ribbons, lace), pipecleaners
- Decorative pieces: novelty buttons, squares of foam sheeting with 'X' cut into the middle, metallic craft mesh pieces
- Wool needle (metal), craft needle (plastic), kids needle (with a ballpoint)
- Project: the felt part, thread and needle of a project kit, which is for making a felt frog face. I picked this kit up at Riot Art and Craft for 99 cents. I have started a few stitches for her just to give her the general idea.
- Nail buffer
- Unused hanky: one of Eden's 'jobs' at home is to fold the hankies. She really enjoys folding clothes, and I just threw this in to help her practice (she's getting pretty good)
- Elmer book with audio cd, for use in my old discman ($6)
- Barbie puzzle (70 cents)

Quiet Time: to be advised once she uses it! Total cost was around $8, as I had everything already, unless otherwise stated.
